Hello Teachers, Students and Parents,

The Book Swap is ready to open!!!  We are planning to make this available to students on Tuesdays and Fridays 8:30-9:00 am.  Here is how it works:

1.     On your first visit choose one book to bring home and read.

2.    When you are done with the book, bring it back and swap it for another!

3.    Visit the book swap as often as you like, but remember to bring a book back before you swap for another!

All we need now are students who want books.  We have a wide range of reading levels available.  Please encourage kids to come and visit.  The Book Swap is located in Mrs. Cole’s office- Room 155 (going toward the cafeteria, on the left just past the community room).

Also, if parents would like to volunteer to staff the Book Swap, please let Meg know when you are available ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Your responsibilities would be minimal:

!.     Check with students to see if they are visiting the book swap for the first time.  

2.    If they say they have borrowed a book before, but forgot to bring it back to swap, remind them that they cannot swap for a new book until they bring the other book back.

3.    When students bring a book back to swap it for another, just have them put the book in the return box and then choose a new book.

4.    If you have time, check returned books for damage, make sure they have an EECS Book Swap label and reshelf.
